The Fancierstudio heat press, should you get one?

So which, if any, should you get?

Fancierstudio Power Heat Press Range
There are so many FancierStudio heat press listings that it can be overwhelming. When you search ‘Fancierstudio 15 x 15 heat press’ in Amazon, this is what comes up…!
The color of the top heat platen is basically the only real difference between these machines, though the price can vary as well. Our advice is just to go with the cheapest machine.
Here are two other sizes and styles of Fancierstudio press.
Fancierstudio 9×12 Heat Press
This 9×12 inch press from Fancierstudio is a bit different from the 15×15″ models. It is a small swing-away heat press, rather than a clamshell. It’s compact, easy to store and/or travel with.
You can use it for all the same transfers as the other machines. Small heat press machines are good for working with baby and kids clothes.
Fancierstudio 16×20 Heat Press
There is also the 16×20″ Fancierstudio press. This machine is good for those pressing large transfers or large garments. It could also be possible to do all-over sublimation.
It’s basically the same machine as the 15×15″ models, but with larger heat platens. Learn more about large heat press machines here.

How to use the Fancierstudio heat press:
Specs
The technical specifications for these machines are all very similar (if not identical). They are all built to do the same thing: make custom t-shirts. And that’s what they’re good at.
Here are the general specifications:
- Temperature range: 0 – 500℉ (0 – 260℃) – able to press all types of standard heat transfers
- Time range: 0 – 999 seconds
- Weight: 50 – 60 pounds
- Dimensions: approx. 19 x 16 x 17.5 inches
Who Should Get This Machine?
These machines are fantastic for:
- Beginners and learners
- Craft use
- Making gifts for friends and family
- Use for a small online store
- People with a limited budget
- Start-up t-shirt entrepreneurs
Many people do use these machines for limited commercial use as well, though we’d would be hesitant to do this. These machines are not as consistent and reliable as other machines (Heat Press Nation units, for example).
Fancierstudio machines have a higher rate of faults and returns than machines like the MPress Heat Press. They are more prone to having issues.
Fancierstudio Warranty
These machines come with a 6 month warranty as specified under the warranty section on Amazon. There is also Amazon’s A to Z Guarantee which protects you against rouge sellers. However, given Fancierstudio’s time in the market and success in selling heat press machines, they are likely to deal fairly with any claims.
You can find contact details on their website. You can connect by phone, email, or they even have a live chat box at certain times.
Finally, it is worth paying a little bit more for a two or three year extended warranty when you check out. This is usually automatically offered as you’re going through the purchase process.

purchased a 16×24 heat press shipping was fast but received damaged, emailed and got a reply back and even a return label the same day but now I have to wait and my time is also valuable.
Good to know, Jose! Hope the return works out and that the second time around will go more smoothly.
Help. My Fancierstudio will not lock don an more. Just now out of warrantee With amazon selling. Bought in May 2019
Hi Lauralee, I’m sorry to hear about this. Your best bet would be to try and get in touch with the seller and ask for their advice. Even though it’s outside warranty they may still be able to help.
would you get the fancierstudio or powerpress heat press?
Hey Andrew, right now the Fancierstudio heat press is ranked higher on the Amazon heat press best sellers list, so I’d probably go with that. However, we do own the PowerPress and it’s served us well for many years on many projects, and I’d be happy to get it again as a craft heat press (not so much for business). To be honest, I would most likely go with the cheaper machine on the day!
You are correct on the varying colors and prices… what I have noticed also is a variance in wattage and tempuratures in the detailed description… some are 1800watts and 699 degrees and others go as low at 1200watts and 500 degrees… some are in between these upper and lower ranges
Good point Todd! I’ve had that come up quite a bit with the PowerPress, because although there is one listing, the exact model often changes. Some models are 1800w and others 1200w like the Fancierstudio machines. The other big difference can be the location of the fuse as well – often getting questions about that in this heat press manual post!
What do you think is the best fancierstudio heat press?
I think it’s best just to go with the machine that is the cheapest or has the highest star rating. If I was looking right now, I would say this is the best Fancierstudio heat press today. That is the most popular listing and it has great reviews.
I just bought a fancierstudio heat press off Amazon the “Amazon choice” one and I used it once when I went to use it a couple days later it wont stop beeping and on the display screen it is flashing with LL what do I need to do? Send it back or is there a way to fix it?
Send it back!I’ve heard of this happening and it’s best not to fiddle around with it yourself. Get them to send a replacement or else go for a MPress heat press instead (this costs a little more, but they’re more reliable).
just got the fancier studio tried to transfer my image using avery fabric transfer paper nothing happened what am i doing wrong??
Hi Leighann, I’ve just emailed you to get some more details off you before I give you any advice!
Just got my new heat press the black 15×15. just used it and after the 10 seconds i go to lift the handle and the whole machine lifts up. Am I supposed to mount this to the table somehow or is the pressure too tight?HELP!
Hey Katie, most people do not need to mount their press to anything, though it wouldn’t hurt if your machine base has been manufactured to do so. I’m sure you’ve tried lowering the pressure and testing whether that helps. Usually when new machines are shipped the pressure is set very high to make sure they stay closed and don’t move around. It may just need a bit of loosening up with use. Please reply and let us know if you’ve solved the issue or need further advice.
When click to buy this online it is not listed as Fancierstudio and the seller is Penson and Co?
Hi Lauren, thank you for letting us know. I have updated the post to contain current links. Earlier in the year some Amazon heat press listings were constantly changing names, links and shipping details. That all seems to have settled down now, thankfully.
